- Jack weighs 28 lbs. and is 33 inches tall. That puts him at the 83rd percentile for weight, but only the 65th for height. So, he's still a little short and chubby, but he seems tall to me and he has thinned out a lot. He's wearing both 18- and 24-month size clothes. He still wears size 4 diapers.
- We stopped counting how many words Jack knows. He has well over 100. He can copy and remember pretty much anything we say to him. He is getting more and more clear when he speaks. He's getting the ending sounds on most words now. For example, Buzz is not longer just "Bu," but "Busz;" and ice is no longer "I," but "ice." Lauren's favorite was when he said, "diaper."
- Jack is starting to say more two-word phrases. He has said, "No. Done." When we asked if he wanted more. He has also said, "No go, mama," and "Mama. Eat. Bread." "More please" is a favorite.
- He will say, "I," then we say, "love," and he will say, "you!" He called and left me that message one day while I was at work.
- His favorite foods are macaroni and cheese, cheese, tomatoes, peas, pizza, peaches, popcorn, popsicles, and candy.
- He loves Toy Story. His favorite character is Buzz. He loves to wear his Buzz pajamas and takes Buzz all over the place. He also likes Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh characters.
- He loves Hulk, Spider Man, and Iron Man.
- He has learned who Jack Skelington is.
- He likes trains.
- He knows several colors. He doesn't always match the right name to the right color, but he's working on it. He knows blue, green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, red, white, and black.
- He can count to three.
- He likes to dance and sing. He's just starting to copy singing and pitch-matching.
- He still likes to take me everywhere he goes and show me things.
- He is really good at sharing. He shared with everybody and everything. He was just barely sharing popcorn with his sippy cup. A couple of days ago, he had to share is cereal with Buzz before he would eat any.
- The doctor told us some things to help him sleep through the night. He now sleeps with a teddy bear. He has been doing a better job. He still has some nights when he wakes up, cries, and won't go back to sleep without us sitting in the room with him. Early this morning it took and hour and a half for him to fall back asleep.
- His eczema has been bad on his knees, legs, elbows, and back. We are using prescription strength hydrocortisone cream to help.
- He loves pretending to shoot people. He loves it when we fall over "dead". He's pretty good at playing dead, too. One day he had Buzz shoot him and he grunted and fell out of the ball pit.
- He still loves the treadmill.
- He likes to draw.
- He likes the iPad and Daddy's iPhone. He has really good control with the technology.
- He has been enjoying going to nursery with me. He looks forward to getting to play with the toys.
I'm so amazed everyday how much Jack develops. And yet, he's still my baby boy. He's such a smart, silly, fun boy. We all love him so much!
