I have an amazing husband who likes nothing more than spending time with me.
I have the cutest, smartest, silliest little boy I've ever met and he adores me.
Those are the two greatest blessings, and I am grateful for so many more things, too:
- We live close enough to our families that we get to see them often.
- We have our own house.
- We are all healthy.
- David is home safe.
- Mike and I have jobs we really enjoy.
- I have aids to help in my huge classes.
- Great insurance
- Mountains
- Comfy pants
- Saturdays at home
- Disneyland annual passes
- Digital cameras so I take lots of pictures without worrying about wasting film
- Movies
- Movie popcorn, especially in Ephraim
- Seasons
- My flat iron
- We have "modern" conveniences such as a dishwasher, laptops, cell phones, a washing machine and dryer, a microwave, my new vacuum, a food processor, indoor plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and an oven.
- Treadmill
- Slides and swings
- I have a great relationship with my in-laws. How many people can say that?
- Lysol spray
- Good books
- Hot chocolate
- My mom can watch Jack, so I don't have to send him to a babysitter.
- Prayer
- Good food
- Our cars usually work, and when they don't we have had the money to fix them.
- Blocks, cars, trains, balls, and other toys that make Jack happy
- Medicine, from Tylenol to epidural
- Clothes and shoes
- My calling is to be in the nurser, so I get to be with Jack while he plays those last two hours of church.
- My bed
- Big, snuggly blankets
- Hairspray and ponytail holders
- Trees, grass, and flowers
- Clouds
- Plays
- Wal-Mart (I have a love-hate relationship)
- Disposable diapers
I could probably go on and on. I have been truly blessed. On days when I'm feeling down, it helps to count my blessings and realize the good outweighs the bad. Heavenly Father loves us and is watching out for us.
Happy Thanksgiving!
